Hubballi: The eagerly anticipated public rally, which was scheduled to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi either on March 19 or 20, has been postponed, informed Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Mines, and Coal, Pralhad Joshi.

Joshi, speaking to reporters here on Saturday, cited the Prime Minister’s prior commitments to visit other states as the reason for the programme’s cancellation. Instead, PM Modi is scheduled to address a public rally in Shivamogga on March 18, following his recent roadshow and rally in Kalaburgi on March 16.

Addressing concerns about disgruntled leader KS Eshwarappa’s recent announcement to contest the Lok Sabha election from the Shivamogga seat as an independent candidate, Joshi expressed confidence that Eshwarappa would be convinced to support the party’s decision. Despite Eshwarappa’s disappointment, Joshi emphasized his status as a senior party leader and expressed optimism that Eshwarappa would be persuaded before PM Modi’s scheduled programme in Shivamogga.
